Anniversary

A year ago yesterday...

We spent this past weekend celebrating our first anniversary. Saturday we were able to enjoy a fun dinner out and as usual, we spent our Sunday at each other's side! We are so thankful to remember our beautiful wedding and reminisce over this year's happenings. Once we settled in at home Sunday evening, we carefully unpacked our new Willow Tree "Anniversary" figurine and added it to our shelf displaying our other figurines marking our family milestones.

It has certainly been a year full of joy, but also times of sorrow, of laughter, but also of tears. As we joined together our own family a year ago, we could hardly imagine all the future would hold and know there is so much more of our journey ahead of us! We have moved, travelled many places, established a new home, celebrated holidays, begun new jobs and lost old ones, made new friends and reconnected with old, suffered the loss of Carolyn's mother, become part of a new church family, and are now expecting to soon add to our family! More than anything, we are grateful to have spent it together with each other's friendship, support, encouragement, and love. The Lord's blessings are never ending and we only hope to be aware and appreciate them!
